After 20 years the original Law and Order has been cancelled. Some people point to flagging ratings, an abundance of other Law and Order series, CSI, etc... However the real reason of the cancellation rests solely on the shoulders of one man... Jeremy Sisto
You see, there are some actors that seem to get steady work but every project they work on ends up being doomed. I shall refer to this as the SISTO EFFECT, in the 80's this was known as the COYOTE EFFECT based on the terrible work of the actor Peter Coyote;
You would remember him from E.T. he was the 'friendly' scientist. You most likely won't remember him from anything else even though he has appeared on over 120 projects as his mere presence guaranteed box office failure... i.e. Patch Adams (although that 'film' was already destined for failure). He still gets work in television but if you see him then the end of the series cannot be far away.During the mid 90's the torch was passed to Jeremy Sisto, enter the SISTO EFFECT. You may remember him from the film Clueless, and not much else. Everything he touches turns to crap and no matter how promising or even good the film is (Suicide Kings, May) his presence guarantees failure. Thanks Jeremy Sisto, you've managed to destroy the longest running drama on television.
